Kalyx has a long-term Home Office Contract to manage HMP Forest Bank in Salford, which holds 1160 adult males. Due to our expansion programme we are scheduled to become one of the largest local prisons in the country. We Offer job Opportunities for you to help us serve our community by:

Prisons require staff with a broad range of skills and experience and we currently require enthusiastic and motivated RMN/RGNs to join our existing nursing team at Forest Bank. The health needs of our population are varied with high levels of mental illness. We have a busy outpatient department offering a range of primary care services and a 19-bed inpatient facility. Services are being developed continuously in conjunction with Salford PCT and BST, the local specialist trust for mental health.

Key aspects of the roles

• Working as part of a forward-thinking, enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team providing healthcare to the prison population
• On average 40 hours per week, consisting of ten-hour days, early and late shifts and night shifts on rota (normally 1 in 10).

We aim to improve prisoners' lives by providing them with opportunities, which will help them to return successfully to the community on release; healthcare is a major contributor to this.
