Job Description:
My client is a global company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defence and aerospace systems in the air, on land and at sea.
Job purpose: To carry out electrical maintenance, repairs and modifications on tornado IDS. May be required to provide support to the RSAF away from PDM
Aircraft Maintenance: Perform major and minor electrical repairs, modifications and TCTOs on Tornado ADV/IDS. you will be responsible for the quality and completeness of the work carried out on an aircraft or aircraft component. you will be required to provide estimated hours for TPDM1s (emergent work). You will work within the requirements of the PDM Quality System and RSAF Technical Orders. You will complete PDM forms, appropriate aircraft forms records and maintenance documentation. Ensure maximum effort is made to safeguard the programme timescales in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. You will provide on the job and theory training to team members.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills required: Completion of
Tornado Electrical Maintenance course. Minimum of 6 years
in trade speciality, with at least 2 years experience in repair
and modification of fast jets. Ability to interpret electrical
drawings. current UK/Saudi Driving license. Experience of
RSAF documentation and procedures. Familiarity with PC
use and Microsoft Office Suite. GR4 modification experience.
Contact with others: On a daily basis, you will come into
contact with the following: - Supervisors, Team Leaders,
Chief Engineers, Quality Inspectors, Managers, RSAF
team to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, MOD Officers
to the rank of Squadron Leader.
You will need to have a proactive and flexible approach to
maximise productivity. You will also need to have
"hands-on" experience as this role is working directly
with the aircraft.
